Alternating Duplex / Duplex Standby (DS)
A duplex standby water softener features two resin tanks sharing a single brine salt tank. One tank actively treats water (duty) while the second stays fully refreshed on standby. When the active tank hits its capacity limit, the system instantly switches flow to the standby tank and automatically cleans the exhausted tank
- Continuous Supply: Delivers round-the-clock soft water with no gaps in service.
- No Hard Water Bypass: Eliminates the awkward intervals of hard water exposure common during single-tank (simplex) midday or overnight clean cycles.
